Pastor James Corrales preaches to us: Following Jesus III, Shaping Jesus Followers. The Lord tells us: Go and make disciples in all the nations. Challenge #1: Come and See – The Seeker. It is a process of converting people who serve themselves to serve Jesus, and take the responsibility of forming other followers. It is a supernatural step, it is not your own. God is patient and he is forming us, even when sometimes we do not seem ready, he is patient since it is a long process. Do not look for other people to be like you, but to understand that it is Jesus Christ who should be followed. Training others is a big responsibility because if you teach others they will follow your example and even your mistakes may be followed by them. Challenge #2: Follow Me – The Believer. A person has made a decision about Jesus, they have been transformed, and can now go on. A call to a deeper level, to be an apprentice, which requires a learning process of walking in the steps of the Lord. Challenge #3: Fisher of Men – The Worker. Now we leave the comfort of just believing, to work, to start being fishers of men. They become the Lord’s ministry team which is clearly intentional. Challenge #4: Go and Bear Fruit – The Disciple Maker. It is a process to get to this last step, it is more personal, now the Lord strategically calls you a friend. As the Father sent me, now I also send you. Now it tells us, go and bear fruit, that we may remain on the vine. It is a permanent task of bearing fruit.
